Welcome to our Rules and Information page! Here you'll find essential guidelines for our general community as well as specific rules for our Sea of Thieves section. This page also includes detailed information on our Sea of Thieves sell rotation guide to enhance your gameplay experience. Please review these sections to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for all members.

COMMUNITY & SOT RULES

SEA OF THIEVES RULES
  • 1. Respect the Queue
    • Do not skip lines in the Waiting Room. Even when the servers are unlocked.
  • 2. No Inactivity or Leeching
    • Avoid prolonged inactivity or leeching in our Alliance. Being AFK for more than 10 minutes will result in being marked as inactive.
    • Do not use the AFK channel as a way to stay in the #🕒waiting_queue for hours. You may be removed without notice if you have been AFK for more than 6 hrs.
  • 3. Discord and Microphone Requirements
    • All members must have a working microphone to join our waiting queue or ships.
    • Only invite crew members who are in your voice channel and ensure you use the Xbox Gamertag linked to their Discord. Do NOT invite people that send DM's to you.
    • Requiem Staff will not need to join the ships unless they are in your VC with you. Please check to see if they are an active officer before you send an invite. You can always ask @Moderator or @Admin to confirm they are an Officer.
  • 4. Handle Conflicts Properly
    • Report any drama or conflicts to a @SoT Officer immediately with the necessary proof. Screenshots, audio, video evidence is always helpful. You can always contact @Pip also via DM.
  • 5. Responsible Ship Leaving
    • Do not leave a ship on our Alliance without ensuring your spot is filled by a @SoT Officer or yourself if the Alliance Server is unlocked.
    • Use the ?leaving command (must post 10 minutes before leaving) in the ServerX_leaving channel or contact a @SoT Officer via the #📞Help Desk.
    • 10-minute warnings are valid for the full 10 minutes. If you haven’t left after 10 minutes, contact a @SoT Officer.
    • If you are the last crew member on a ship, wait until another player or a @SoT Officer can join before leaving. We do not wish to lose the ship.
  • 6. Ship Assignment
    • Stay with your assigned ship unless directed otherwise by a @SoT Officer.
    • You can request a ship change from a @SoT Officer if the Waiting Room is empty. Or you will be placed at the bottom of the Queue.
    • Changing ship Activity, Emissary Flag should be made in the serverX_emissary channel.
  • 7. Selling and Trade Rules
    • Follow our sell rotation and do not sell Ritual Skulls. Use ?sellrotation to check the rotation.
    • Trading loot for commendations is allowed only if it does not cause drama, all members of all ships must agree. Never trade Ritual Skulls.
  • 8. Xbox-Discord Connection
    • Ensure your Xbox and PlayStation accounts (If you play on PlayStation) are connected to your Discord at all times you are in Requiem. You must always have the Gamer Tag linked when on our Alliance Servers.
    • PSN Friends, Trophies, and Xbox Friends must all be set to Everyone when being placed on a ship.
    • We conduct other checks when placing members on ships and they are never disclosed due to security. You are required to comply with all requests from our Staff.
    • Officers have the right to refuse access to our servers for any reason. At this point, you will be referred to @Pip and the officer will no longer be in a position to help you with access.
  • 9. Crew Joining Rules
    • Turn off the option for friends to join your crew.
    • Failure to do so, leading to a troll or blacklisted player joining, will result in a ban for all members of the ship unless we have evidence of who invited them.
  • 10. Fish Cooking Rules
    • Only Rare & Trophy fish must be cooked before selling.
    • Cooking basic/common fish is optional.
    • Fishing within Shores of Gold is not allowed, Unless its a fishing event Server. Fishing rods are required to catch Treacherous Plunder.
    • Do not exit the game abruptly (ALT+F4, Exit to Desktop, etc.) while on an Alliance Ship. This can bug your position and make the ship unusable.
  • 11. Proper Session Exit

    • Leave the session through the game options by selecting "Leave Game".
  • 12. Proper Use of ?leaving Command
    • Do not misuse the ?leaving command.
    • If you have placed a leaving request and the @SoT Officer has already filled your spot, you are REQUIRED to leave the ship. Failure to do so will result in a punishment due to Requiem General Rule 4.
    • You can cancel your leaving request up to the point the @SoT Officer has filled your spot by using ?leaving, After this point you will be REQUIRED to leave the ship.
  • 13. Server Setup Rules
    • Only an @SoT Officer or @Moderator can conduct server setups. Do not use the Alliance Waiting Room for server setups.
    • Do NOT Ping for a server setup, Officers will conduct setups when they are available and we have enough members in the queues.
  • 14. Restriction on Server-Leaving Features
    • Using the "Hourglass", "Dive to Location", or any feature that removes a ship from the server is strictly prohibited.
REQUIEM COMMUNITY GENERAL RULES
  • 1. @Everyone and @Here
    • Only @Moderator and @Admin can use @everyone or @here when necessary.
  • 2. Respectful Content Only
    • No nudity, gore, racist, sexist, violent, disturbing, homophobic, inappropriate or offensive content.
    • Attempting to bypass these rules through DMs, custom statuses, profile pictures, or nicknames is prohibited.
  • 3. Be Mature and Respectful
    • Treat all community members with respect.
    • Do not troll, grief, or intentionally upset others. Joking is allowed but must not lead to excessive drama.
  • 4. Follow Staff Instructions
    • Respect and follow the directions of Officers, Moderators, and Admins. Issues with staff should be reported to an @Admin.
    • Blocking or muting staff members or Requiem Bots is not allowed.
  • 5. Handle Conflicts Properly
    • Resolve conflicts privately, or bring them to an Officer, Moderator, or Admin if necessary.
    • Keep personal conflicts out of community chats.
    • Conflicts in DMs can lead to consequences if you are a community member.
  • 6. No Unauthorized Promotions
    • No promoting other Discords, social media, or websites. Personal promotions like YouTube or Twitch streams should go in #✨gallery.
    • Attempting to circumvent this rule via DMs or custom statuses is prohibited.
    • Sharing media outside designated channels will result in a ban.
    • #✨gallery is strictly for Media and Personal Promotions of YouTube or Twitch streams.
  • 7. English Only
    • Communication must be in fluent English.
    • Contact staff if you need help communicating.
  • 8. No Impersonation
    • Do not impersonate other community members, Staff or Bots.
  • 9. Follow All ToS and Game Rules
    • Adhere to Discord's ToS and rules for all community games, including the Sea of Thieves Pirate Code: Pirate Code.
  • 10. Naming Conventions
    • Do not use symbols in your discord name. All discord names must be in a font type that everyone can read.
    • Discord names must only use English letters and numbers between 1 and 10.
  • 11. No Politics or Religion
    • Keep political and religious discussions out of the community. Respect other members' views to maintain a positive atmosphere.
  • 12. Media Share Permissions
    • By sharing content in media channels, you grant Requiem permission to use your content on our social media, with credit to you.

SELL ROTATION

SEA OF THIEVES SELL ROTATION GUIDE
  • Ritual Skulls:
    • Don’t sell these. Leave them at Reapers Hideout for Fort of the Damned (FotD), don’t trade loot for these skulls.
  • Athena Chests:
    • Sell these anywhere your crew decides.
  • Selling Rules:
    • Fort of the Damned, World Events, Voyages: Sell loot after 4 (or fewer) completions.
    • Veil Voyages: Sell loot after 2 (or fewer) completions.
    • Fishing: Sell fish every 90 minutes or less.
  • Emissary Flags and Loot:
    • You can sell emissary flags and loot at any level.
    • If your ship sinks, leave broken flags at Reapers Hideout for others to sell.
    • All loot must be sold when you hit the max stacks for your ship activity. Leaving loot on your ships after selling your max stacks is forbidden.
  • Treasure and Storage:
    • Keep a maximum of 7 Treasure Chests onboard.
    • Keep a maximum of 5 Storage Crates onboard.
  • Additional Information:
    • Selling Loot: You can sell loot at any time if your whole crew agrees.
    • Don’t hide items to avoid selling loot.
    • You can hide items for Commendations, though.
    • Turn-in Timers: Don’t bother other alliance ships about when to turn in loot. If you need to leave, just go.
    • Check Rules: If you’re confused, check the rules and about us sections.
    • Leaving: If you need to leave, do not put in your leaving request until all loot is sold. You will need to leave if an officer fills your spot if you are not done selling.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • To join our Sea Of Thieves Alliance Servers, ensure that your Xbox Gamer Tag is added to Discord.

    To do this, click Discord settings, Connections, Xbox icon, and follow the steps shown on the screen.

    When linked, join the #⏰Alliance Waiting Room, the on-duty SoT Officers will join to offer spaces available on ships based on #📜waiting_queue.

  • No. Our alliance servers are free to play. Supporter only gives bonus perks like priority access.

  • At the very top of the channels list, right-click on "Channels & Roles" and check "Show All Channels".

  • Join the ⁠⏰Alliance Waiting Room, and change your nickname to include your friends nickname in parenthesis. Example: Plucky (Lukian)

  • You will be able to rejoin your ships voice channel in the event you are disconnected.

    If you have been disconnected for more than 10 minutes, you will have to join ⁠📞 Help Desk and ask an Officer to move you back.

  • Step 1) Go to your User Settings

    PC: This is the Cog Wheel on the bottom left.

    Mobile: This is your profile picture in the bottom right.

    Step 2) Select Connections (This should be the 6th category down)

    Step 3) PC: Select the Xbox or PlayStation icon and press Continue which will open a browser page for you to provide your account credentials.

    Mobile: Select Add or + at the top right of your screen and select the Xbox or PlayStation icon and press Continue which will open a browser page for you to provide your Microsoft account credentials.

    Step 4) After you read over the in-client authorization message, press Authorize and Continue.
